Default Most Wanted Imports

what are your most wanted imports? or if you've imported - what are those films that you own that were worth every dirty expensive dollar to bring home from overseas?

here's what i want desperately:

Children of Men (Scandinavia)
Transformers (Possibly Korea)

and the others on my list:

the Island (UK)
Exorcism of Emily Rose (UK)
Bruce Almighty (UK)
Transformers the Movie (UK)

and I'm probably totally unaware of other international Blus that I would buy if I was informed of their existence...woe is me....

(PS: Man, the UK is spoiled)

I have only put together lists of titles available in Europe and Japan, lists of titles available in US with lists of region free titles. My guess is that there are more titles available for import that not yet have been tested if they are region free or not. I have ordered 12 Monkeys, The Jackal and The Crow to see if these are region free. Paprika is available in France and The Seventh Seal is up for pre-order. Will be released Oct. 22.

My girlfriend is in Asia (or Thailand) right now. I have seen that some movies that are exclusive to HD-DVD in USA have other distributors in Thailand. I just hope Thailand jumps into the HighDef came and if they do it would probably be Blu-ray as the rest of Asia.

Honestly all that's cut out of Kung-Fu Hustle is a few trivial bits anyway. I had to look it up to figure out what the differences are. I own the R3 DVD

I have the Island which looks great and I've also seen Crimson Tide as a loaner from a friend, that one is equally as good. What I'd like now is:

1. Starship Troopers
2. The Rock
3. Face/Off
4. The Crow

How badly do people need movies that they have to import what's not yet available here?? It's not like it's never going to come out here...if it's not here in the States it doesn't exist to me

You are freakin hilarious Buckshot.

The only one I want that is currently out is Starship Troopers. But I’m sure Sony will get around to releasing it to Region 1. I’m not going to spend $40 + when if I’m patient enough I can get it for $20.

Yeah, "Rent" is available from Japan and Korea (both Region A countries). The new version of "The Producers" is also available from Japan, as is an "Art of Disney" disc..

Some people want to import to get certain movies early. It's not something that change the format war in any way because bot Blu-ray and HD-DVD can import and both Americans, European and people from Asia can import...

I was well upset with The Crow. I hope Disney do a remaster if and when they release it on Blu-ray in the states, it is on my import list.

But I though that Sony postponed Starship Troopers indefinitely? I also haven't heard about The Rock being released here anytime soon. And last, there seems to be a consensus regarding The Crow looking like crap. I guess that one is going to have to wait then.
