I did a search and couldn't find a master PS3 thread, nor a 24/96 thread, so here it goes.
OK, 24/96. What is the deal. I have DVD/bluray Video discs from AIX that are recorded in 24/96 that play fine via my PS3. Front panel of my NAD processor displays 96kHz. But *.wav files that are recorded in 24/96 and either attempted to play from USB HD, USB key, or copied and played from the PS3 hardrive simply show up as unsupported files. All other *.wav files play perfectly fine. These files are CD quality (16/44.1) Is this because the PS3 is only looking for 16bit files with respect to *.wav files? I prefer using my external USB harddrive to store my lossless music as it is a great way to store and access large quantities of different music. Anybody have any luck outside of burning a DVD Video disc with album art as the image? Thanks |
