Australia The Crow...Problems

Didn't have The Crow yet, so picked it up a few weeks ago, found out it's region B locked, ok no problem I have a region free player, A Sherwood BDP-5004 which internally is the same as the Momitsu 899, same codes work and such. Unfortunately even with the region B code, the Sherwood refuses to play the disc and the latest firmware update eliminates the region free capabilities for all blu rays. so not about to update the firmware.
So word of warning, don't buy the OZ/NZ ver of The Crow if you have a region free Sherwood, Momitsu (or Curtis).

Hey fellow Northlander! have you been able to test the disc on another play to eliminate the disc causing the problem? Faulty discs happen all the time.

Tried it last night on a friend's Philips BPD 2700 and it works, took forever to load up tho. Think this is the first time I was hoping I had a faulty disc. Guess I'll have to wait for the US release or buy another blu ray player.

My copy played fine on both my PS3 (rev. 3.61) and Panasonic BD 75.
