The W/S version looks very good indeed, will get this when the price is right, hope Network do more 'tv movies' of that era, I want the 'buses' trilogy, but I understand they are StudioCanel, so doubtful.

Judging by the ones I've so far bought the majority of their 400+ titles and growing British Film Collection are StudioCanal catalogue, including at least two Hammer titles (Man At The Top and Love Thy Neighbour) meaning IMO if anyone's going to put out the On The Buses movies on Blu-ray it'll almost certainly be Network. |

Dragging their feet then, as I've never seen 'love thy neighbour' on ITV3 in HD, yet 'On the Buses' (not Mutiny, Holiday....strange) has had the 'treatment' for at least 3yrs now.

As it's a title they're pretty much guaranteed to sell X amount of on Blu-ray and Y amount on DVD whenever they get around to putting it out I can't see the On The Buses movies being a priority release. That said as we've only (officially) got another 10 months and 100 or so titles to go regarding the British Film Collection releases I wouldn't be surprised if it's announced before Christmas this year. |

I'm trying to think of one of these sit-com spinoff films that I actually went & saw at the cinema, I can only remember To Death Us Do Part & Up Pompeii! There's a few I'd buy a good looking Blu-ray of, Are You Being Served? & maybe, Man About The House (I think a lot of the country was in love with Paula Wilcox).

Never seen it but I'm gathering there is a lot of racist terminology in this much like 'Till Death Do Us Part' etc and every other 70's British Sitcom's that just won't cut it in today's PC (everybody offended by everything) society. Stuff you'll never see repeated on Gold or Dave.
Serves as a nice bit of British TV history and I'm looking forward to seeing it. |
