Hey guys another member here, has locked his Toshiba BDX1100KB player to region A (firmware v50), he's got a region B (v50) player so his locked B discs won't work.
I've downloaded a hex editor and the newest firmware (region B V50) but I can't find the information in the file. The file was an .exe after you run it, it becomes 2 .bin files. I assume the version number is in the .exe file but I really haven't a clue. Like I said I'm trying to help another member out but my skills are basic (I don't know basic either lol) to say the least. I thought if I could change the version number of the firmware he'd be able to install the region B version on top of the same A version. Otherwise it may just be easier for the next update to come out and install that. Any help would be really appreciated. Last edited by chip75; 04-02-2011 at 02:03 PM. Reason: Title was ambiguous |
