Help! My BDP-1200 is jammed! - Blu-ray Forum

Sat down last night to watch Halloween. Turned on my BDP-1200 and the disc tray will not open. I can hear the mechanism turning but it (the disc tray) will not pop out. Any suggestions? Has this happened to anyone else?

I don't want to void my warranty by dissasembling the unit but I'm loathe to send this back to Samsung as their reputation for customer service is awful.

I was warned about the quality of Samsung products by many but choose to ignore them. Live and learn.

oh wow, i didn't realize it was next week... when? i wonder if they're gonna do in front of the macys...

Yes I have seen DVD players loading mechanisms break before. Before you take it in for repair, try to un plug the power cord for 30 seconds and then plug the unit back in. Then hit the eject button. Unplugging the power cord power cycles the player and resets it. If after power cycling the player it still does not work then you need to have it serviced by a authorized Samsung repair center.
