Has anyone tried Blair's Sauces and Snacks ? I'm thinking of ordering some of their products on-line.

I love hot sauce on any meal, so I always have some around. I've tried the original Blair's Death Sauce and it is very good, but hot. Some of his sauces are in the millions of scoville units so watch out...one drop in a bowl of soup...be warned I've also had Dave's Ultimate Insanity Sauce which comes with a disclaimer for children and people with breathing problems *hot hot hot*. There are as many hot sauces and flavors as there are people with ideas...Ass Blaster, Colon Cleaner, Smack My Ass and Call Me Sally, you name it Georgia Peach and Vidalia Onion is very good, I use that more often than not...

I've tried quite a few of their hot sauces on sandwiches, they were all pretty good. If you like beef jerky, try their Death Jerky. Very good. I remember trying some habanero chips at a friends house but can't remember what brand they were. Check locally, most places I've visited have a pepper shop that sells all kinds of hot sauces, rubs, snacks and even hybrid pepper plants.

I've grown several varieties over the years to put in my salsa, but this year for a 4th of July party I'm growing some Bhut Jolokia peppers to use. I bought a few last year and made a batch and it was... intense.

I love setting the bowl on the table and saying "be careful, it's kinda hot." Someone always tries to be a smart-ass and loads a chipfull into their mouth.

I know I'm not supposed to enjoy it, but I do.

Up until last month, it was. The title belongs to the Naga Viper pepper now, with a Scoville score of 1,359,000, about 300,000 higher than the Naga Jolokia (aka Bhut Jolokia).

They were at one time. Of course with the extracts that are being made now, who knows what we'll be getting in the future. In my salsa, I make about 6-8 pints and use one pepper. I also throw away the seeds, no sense in going overboard. As a comparison, when I make salsa with jalapenos I use 6 of them and cut them up into chunks whereas the Jolokia's I dice up very small. Also wear gloves when working with the peppers and don't lean over them when you're dicing them(if you're dumb enough to attempt it.).

We have a liquor store here called "The Liquor Barn" that carries Blair's Hot Sauce. I want one of their Reserve pieces.
