i was thinking about this the other day, the cheap version of the ps3 does not have a hdmi connection. however, sony claims that it is not an issue and will be able to output movie (via component) at 1080i. if this is the case, would you be of the belief that the ict may never be implemented so as not to alienate this fanbase? to me just the question would prompt me to spend more for the $600 player, just in case. any thoughts?
