Default the art of the trailer
Movie trailers are an art all their own. Back in 1979 I saw this trailer for Apocalypse Now, and it remains one of the best (although also one of the longest) out there. It gives you a fair amount of the movie in miniature:

This is available in HD on the blu-ray and obviously it looks much better.

This 1979 tv commercial does it in 30 seconds
