Cool. I wouldn't go out to buy new PS3 controllers just for rumble, but I'll take it. I wonder how the battery life will be?

And I can't wait for 2.0. Bring it on!

That's great news... for everyone who doesn't have controllers already. ****. Thankfully I only have 3. Now I can buy a fourth and use the new for all my solo gameplay.

I want firmware 2.0 and want to know what else it will allow us to do.

Yea, I agree rumble isn't a big deal anymore its a technology from 2 console generations ago (N64's rumble pack was the first). It's great for games like GTHD though, if you have a force feedback wheel.

Never really cared for rumble in my games. I didn't think it added to anything really.

I have 3 controllers like someone above said so I'll probably do the same thing.

At least this strikes another thing off the list for those who aren't sure if they want a PS3. It's got rumble now.

I can't wait for 2.0 and Home!!

Rumble or not, it will add some much needed weight to the basic controller.

I never bought a second controller for my PS3 as I do most of my gaming solo. If the price is right, I will buy a rumble controller. I do not miss the rumble, but I will welcome it back into my PlayStation gaming.

I am one that miss's the rumble feature, at first I didn't, but when I went to my brothers and played god of war on his ps2, I remember how much I loved it, it made me feel more in the game. So I will be getting two of these baby's when they come out. Stay Blu Homies.

Oh, snap! I forgot about the N64 Rumble Pack. That's a blast from the past. I really do miss the rumble on Gran Turismo, as it is useful in some cases.

This is my main reason for wanting rumble. I hate the cheap, hollow feel of the controllers.

i personally only liked the rumble feature in the very few pinball games for game systems and the games with a lot of action in it but other than that it was basically just another feature in my mind

Can you imagine rumble in Motorstorm? Your hands would have parkinsons!

Buying the rumble. You people are crazy for saying it was last generation. It might have been new last generation, but now it should come standard.

It was last generation by the very definition on "last generation". But, it's very nice to have THIS generation as well.

It sucks that I already bought 2 extra controllers :-X.

I wonder if Kojima will have time to incorporate rumble into MGS4-- I think he should have the time.

in a weird sort of way i kind of like the feature in enchanted arms where you shake the controller the only problem is no matter how fast i shake the controller i still can never make the bar to go all the way but pretty close

I don't think Shane necessarily knows it's going to be called DualShock 3 or that it'll have the same dual-motor rumble tech. I think he just said he's hoping to see System Software 2.0 there, not that he knows it'll be there.

I don't really miss it. I'll wait to see feedback from people who but it right away. I have to assume the battery time would seriously dwindle down to about a third when using that function - if using the same battery. In that case, I wouldn't bother. It's great that they at least offer it as an option though.
