Fantastic! One of my favourite films. I'm sure this is an indication that the UK will also receive a Blu-ray release around the same time.

Sony have done this with Amazon before I think. Usually a 1 or 2 month exclusive. Very naughty.

The product description at amazon.de says "SteelBook", is it the reason for "exklusivs" ?

Looks like it's always been Taxi Drver on video in Germany.

They also released a SteelBook of the Sony 2-disc set in 2008, so hopefully it's that artwork:

It says it on the page, which has already been pointed out. I suppose it's possible they could have just copied all the info from the DVD version, but the Red Steelbook thread is still in the Steelbook forumw hen we all know that it's not a Steelbook at all. Wutevar.

I guess there isn't any difference - afaik amazon can sell it on April 18th whereas it will be realeased everywhere else in May.
