Default The Matrix Reloaded question

I see that in amazon uk they offer The Matrix Reloaded in the single disc version. From what I've read I think it's region free. My question is if this will perfectly play on my Region A Blu-ray player. I ask this because I once ordered a Dvd from Europe but since it was a PAL it looked pretty bad. I'm guessing that might not be an issue with high definition but I'm curious about that. Also, what about the extra features? If they are standard definition, will they look good or bad?

Any word on a individual release of The Matrix Reloaded for the US?

Not yet, and it's too late for me, since I got the Ultimate Matrix Collection.

I wish the Matrix disc cases in the UE were normal shaped instead of the slim design style.

It is Region Free and you should have no problem playing it back on a Region A player. It will look exactly like a future US version. Extras will be in NTSC, and not PAL. They will look like any Standard Def extras would look.

Thanks. Now I'll get this movie.

Apparently Reloaded is getting a standalone release on 9/7/10. Any word on Revolutions coming out on it's own too? Seems really foolish that they aren't releasing both of the sub-par sequels on the same day.

Not right now at least. It seems like it's only The Matrix Reloaded. But give it time. If Reloaded is getting released now, you'll probably see The Matrix Revolutions eventually. Give it time.

I've been thinking about picking up the more recent release of this Blu-ray and I'm wondering if anyone could tell me if Warner Brothers fixed the problem with the pixelation that earlier releases of this movie were reported about.

If someone could post a response about this, thanks.

I never even noticed the pixeling so it would be nice if someone else could clarify what he means by this.

I was pretty sure that was in Revolutions at the end. WB had a call-in exchange program for anyone who bought the box set.

Correct. It was Revolutions, not Reloaded:

Well, it looks like I'll be picking this one up. I had some extra pocket money I got from some DVD's I sold and I was debating on whether to pick this up ... now, hopefully, Warner Brothers will release the final movie ...

I was snooping around walmart.com and I found this:

http://www.walmart.com/ip/16513443

According to this, there is a re-release of some sort of the Matrix reloaded on may 10, 2011. Anybody have any idea what this is. It would be freaking awesome if it was a digibook release. This would go lovely with my digibook of the original matrix.

Based on the $14.99 MSRP, I'm almost certain it's just a single-disc rerelease in a standard case. They (the producer, not Wal-mart) grossly inflate the MSRPs for digipaks.

But why re-release it a year later. What is the difference with this release.

i think its a simple re-release with movie cash, since there is a whole bunch of
warner titles re-released the same day.

Warners typically does this with some of their more blockbuster titles to promote an upcoming blockbuster movie with movie cash. Matrix Reloaded is still freely available without the movie cash.

If you're waiting for the movie cash, then you really shouldn't be buying this release at all because you're not actually interested in the Matrix Reloaded movie. It would be cheaper just buying a movie ticket on the day of release for that movie when it's released to theaters.
