I'd like A Little Princess directed by Alfonso Cuarón, also a WB film.

Agreed. I'm looking forward to this one, and I would also look forward to "A Little Princess". In a similar vein, I would also like to see "The Secret Garden" come out on Blu-ray. Can you tell I have little girls?

This was a favorite of mine growing up due to my fangirl love for Sean Bean. I will be picking this up.

It would be really cool if this came in a black Blu-ray case, as the artwork would fit really well with that kind of case, but that will probably not happen.

i just picked up a copy today and have yet to watch it - the audio is listed as DTS HD 5.1 as well as a 2.0 Dolby Digital option for French and Spanish. No reviews as of yet but I hope Warner's did a good job with it.

When you fire it up, can you please check the menus to see if there are any Portuguese language options? Thanks!

Edgar - It lists the subtitles on the back panel as being available in English Sdh, French and Spanish but I will check the actual disc this weekend to confirm.

Found this at Wal-Mart a couple days ago for $9.96, which is a good bit cheaper than Amazon.

Yeah, I was disappointed to see that. For some reason I just had a feeling that this title would offer more language options. But there are a lot of titles that don't list all the languages on the back, so we'll see!

There are no Portuguese options, either in Audio or Subtitle.
DTSHD English, German, French, Spanish/Castellano, Spanish/Latino

I literally just finished watching this sweet little film. I missed it back during its theatrical run but always heard it was good. Totally blind bought and glad I did as I was a blubbering boob by the end. On blu, it looks pretty good to me, but lacks punch. Not sure if the filmmaker intended for it to look subdued, but it never really pops. Some scenes with Beauty do make him look quite stunning! Some of the close ups are really nice with good detail, especially around the eyes.

I have a new Oppo and everything just seems to look good on it.

Thanks for confirming the language options and for sharing your mini-review. Portuguese subs would have been nice for some of my extended-family, but I'll probably pick it up anyway if/when I can find it for $10. I'm sure my girls will love it.

But the UK version comes out in a couple days, and the discs over there have Portuguese much more often, so I'll wait on that first.

No problem. My Mom is born and raised in Portugal, so I know what you mean with extended family and gathering for films, especially good family films. I really think Family films should always have many language options, it makes sense.

It's streaming in HD for Amazon Prime members right now.

Question

Question for anyone who has the Blu-ray: is the original Warner Bros. Family Entertainment logo still at the beginning of the film? Or has it been replaced with a newer WB logo?

It opens with a newer CGI shield, but also has the music for the Family Entertainment logo with Bugs Bunny chomping his carrot.
