Not sure if it has already been asked here or not. But, anyways my question is whether or not the 3D movies from UK are North American player friendly? Like the regular 2d blu ray counter parts.

There is a few selections to choose from in the 3d blu ray section at Amazon.UK and very interested to order a bunch.

does anyone have a clue as to where I can get the clear ammaray cases that package Sony 3D Blu-Ray releases? looking to try and get these cases for my collection to let my friends know on first glance what is 3D and what is'nt. I've googled but nothing...

yes, it's the same system.. there isn't a different US-3D system for 3d tvs.

Well I have seen clear ones, just not clear ones with a blue "blu-ray" logo.

Sorry to steal your topic but does anyone know if 3D Blu Rays play on Normal Blu-ray players in 2D?

Just wondering, i can purchase them and future proof my collection then.

I know some like Tron come with both a 3D and Blu ray disk.

No, only the 2D version will play, you need a 3D compatible player & TV.

3D blu-rays will play on 2D blu-ray players, although you may get some black bar issues that have been mentioned in the 3d forums.. which is part of the reason why some companies like Disney will package in a 2d version with the 3d version. I think also Disney disable 2d playback on their 3d disks. But as I don't have any 3d-hardware/disks I can't say.
