Default BD-10a, upconverting DVD & older HDTV's

So I've got an older Panasonic 56wxf90 RP HDTV that only has Component HD inputs. No HDMI or DVI.

I've also got a BD-10a.

So far, the Blu-Ray content at 1080i looks awesome, but I was pretty disappointed to find out that the Upconversion for DVD's only works over HDMI (My TV isn't THAT old).

So I have two questions:

1. Has anyone tried the Vision FC4 HDMI > Component converters boxes they sell on Ebay, and are they any good? and If so - will they work with the BD-10A? I've read good things about them, but it says it's only compatible with HDMI 1.1, and I believe the BD-10a is HMDI 1.2?

2. Does anyone else have problems with their 480p inputs having a "Green Push" ? When I watch Standard DVD's from the BD-10a, darker scenes and shadows seem to have a green tone where there should be gray. I've gone into the Service menu of the TV to try and correct this, but I either get big red pumpkin faces if I bring up the Red to compensate, or if I adjust the blue trim Pot, it looks good on 480p, but them 1080 has big blue halos around everything.
