Default Screen Digest: By 2011, U.S. will be evenly split between Blu-ray, HD DVD

Well I hope this prediction is wrong by screen digest. If both formats coexist for several years I would like to see the technically better quality BLU-RAY format have 70% or 80% of the market.

I agree with this quote
Recent decisions by Paramount and DreamWorks to support HD DVD exclusively gave more life to the format, which serves to extend the format war, Screen Digest maintains.”

The recent Paramount decision will slow done the sales of BLU-RAY players and will cause a small increase in combo player sales. Toward the end of 2008 when combo players are priced under $500 then this will cause both formats to coexist for several years with a increased interest in combo dual format players.
I agree with this quote also
Quote
“Cooper concludes that both formats will be adopted but at a slower rate than some in the industry was expecting.”
