Default Bi-amp the Mirage OMD-28's?

Hey guys, I have the Mirage OMD-28's being powered with my Pioneer Elite SC-37 receiver. They have 3 sets of binding posts and I have the bottom 2 posts biwired with the jumper attached to the top 2 terminals. Should I order another set of speaker cables and biamp the along with the biwire?

Bi-amp isn't going to do anything for you. In order to see any benefits you would have to open up your speakers and manipulate the crossover so power from each amp is being fed directly to each driver. Might look cool though.

You need another amplifier to bi-amp your speakers. Do you plan to use the rear surround channels to bi-amp the front speakers? If that is the case, go ahead and do it as there is no additional cost. Speaker wires are pretty cheap.

If you are going to use an external amplifier to bi-amp your speakers, you need strong justification to spend more money on a new amplifier. As the previous poster mentioned, Passive Bi-Amping has some benefits, but don't expect miracles.

To truely benefit from bi-amping, you need to do Active Bi-Amping. That requires that you remove the internal crossover of the speaker and replace it with an external powered crossover. Many pro speakers do not have internal crossovers and that is one reason why active bi-amping with external crossovers is common among professionals.
