Default Shawn Ryan's Nickle (FX show?)

Terriers/Chicago Code Producer's New FX Project

Quote:
Well, the 2010-2011 TV season was both generous and cruel to Shield-creator Shawn Ryan as he had two TV shows on the air (FX's Terriers, FOX's The Chicago Code), both of which were cancelled after only one season. Now EW.com is reporting that Mr. Ryan may have landed on his feet as he has managed to set up a new project at FX.

This new project, with Chicago Code writer Davey Holmes as showrunner, is called Nickel and is about, according to Ryan, an "ex-con who uses a self-help book to inspire him to become a better criminal." And it will done in the vein and tone of Tarantino films and Soderbergh's Out of Sight.

Ryan also told EW viewers that Chicago Code, despite getting the axe, will "get an ending." Also, he mentioned never ruling out the possibility of a movie follow-up to The Shield that fans have been clamoring for. "Michael Chiklis and I talk about that at times," Ryan told EW. "I'm always reluctant to talk too much about it in the press because I wouldn't want to give fans false hope. But if the right idea at the right time came through the Fox movie division, we'd be open to it. I'm sure there's a movie that could be made for a price that could made sense."
Really hope if this get's made it can stick around.
