Default Why was Cal never released on Blu Ray?

I’ve been listening to a lot of music by Mark Knopfler recently, and through that, I discovered Cal, with Helen Mirren and John Lynch, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. It’s such a good and well acted film by everyone in it, and I’m surprised it’s never been given a blu ray release. I bought it on DVD, which is from 2016 by Warners. Strange thing is, it’s not even 16:9 enhanced but the PQ is not too bad, fortunately. The soundtrack is fantastic. Mark Knopflers music is just perfect for the film.

I’m surprised someone like Arrow never released it, but I wonder who has the rights to it these days?

Warner would have the rights to it for sure so wait for them to either release it through the Archive or sublicensed it to Shout!.

Incidentally, I'm surprised this never got a DVD release here in the States.
