Default What Maisie Knew (Julianne Moore, Alexander Skarsgård)

A contemporary reimagining of Henry James’ novel, WHAT MAISIE KNEW tells the story of a captivating little girl's struggle for grace in the midst of her parents' bitter custody battle. Told through the eyes of the title's heroine, Maisie navigates this ever-widening turmoil with a six-year-old's innocence, charm and generosity of spirit.

Starring: Julianne Moore, Alexander Skarsgard, Steve Coogan, Joanna Vanderham and introducing Onata Aprile

This looks fantastic! I'm a huge Julianne Moore fan, and was really excited to hear the song "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead" by Stars in the trailer. I love that song.

I've only seen the first season of Game Of Thrones (as of yet) and I'm not the most knowledgeable Maisie Williams fan. Feel free to add anything I'm missing.

Maisie knows

- Sword Fighting

- Face Punching

- Dancing

- How To Be Silly

- The Art Of Hugging

- Simon Pegg

- Turtles

- What to say to death

[Show spoiler]Not today.

- Her destiny (The Iron Throne)

Pretty much all the essentials of bad assery.

Yay! Go Maisie!

I thought Maisie is cool and this movie might be cool so they can be cool together.

The film looks promising. Good leads and Onata Aprile is supposed to be fantastic. Always nice to see a strong performance from a young person.

Maybe she can be this year's Quvenzhané Wallis and receive an Oscar nomination for her performance.

I've actually never seen Game of Thrones. I didn't really think it would be the kind of show I'd like but a couple of friends keep insisting I watch it so I might at some point. Plus I really like Lena Heady.

It would be exciting if she got nominated.

I started liking Lena Heady when I saw Imagine Me & You. If you're a fan of hers that's definitely a reason to check out Game Of Thrones. The show is fantastic.

That's actually when I fell for Lena Heady. I saw that at the theater. She was so charming in it.

This opens a week from Friday. I really hope it does solid business. Looks so good.

I'm jealous. Wish I had seen it in theater.

Let's hope. I'll be waiting for the Blu-ray. :]

I was incredibly lucky it did open here. It's so rare my theater shows something that's playing in so few theaters. I was unbelievably excited when it came here as I really wanted to see it. I saw it the first weekend as I didn't think it would stay more than a week, but it actually stayed two. Really adorable movie.

BTW, I didn't realize this but this is from the directors of the awesome Tilda Swinton dramatic thriller The Deep End.

82% on Rotten Tomatoes. Opened in 1 theater this weekend. Here's hoping for a killer average.

Last spring Millennium opened sleeper hit Bernie, but sadly I don't think this will follow in its footsteps. That was more of a light, fluffy crowd-pleaser and also starred Jack Black and Matthew McConaughey. Still wish it could do solid numbers though and expand so it might show here. The little girl in this is getting incredible praise. Would be cool to see her get some awards attention.

Millennium Entertainment tweeted:

#WhatMaisieKnew is expanding nationwide this weekend.

This probably means around 100 theaters or so. Last weekend they expanded The Iceman to 165 theaters.
