What other jet Li movies does this compare to? Fearless and Hero are two of my favorite movies of his.

Default One of his best

this is one of his best films. I think i like it better than fist of legend although not as good as fearless or hero.

If you like wire-fu, you'll enjoy Tai-Chi Master. I personally hated it, the fight scenes tried to blend realistic fighting with over the top wire-fu antics. It tried to have the best of both worlds, which rubbed me the wrong way. However, you may feel differently.

I wondered why Best Buy had this under 6/8 at one of the stores I go to. I saw and thought "Um... isn't that not coming out until August?". They also had [The Legend of] Fong Sai Yuk on there.

Yeah now they're saying Legend of the Black Scorpion (aka The Banquet) is also coming 6/8 at Best Buy. Wierd because the Canadian sub forum has The Banquet listed for 6/29 via Alliance yet there's no listing at all for a US version.

$19.99 isn't the worst price, will have to consider this if my store carries it.

Has that price been announced for BB? Aside from The Killer (which was a brand new release for DD as opposed to a "catalog title"), all of the Dragon Dynasty blu-rays have been $14.99. I hope it'll be the same case here, but the two+ month exclusivity could possibly affect that.

We can now add Kill Zone (SPL) to that list.

When did they announced SPL for Bluray? Why wasn't there an official anouncement for it like the others? It's great that you can get it early at Bestbuy, but it's a little overprice. It should've been no more than $15 for an Asian catalog title like this. Here's the link: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Kill+Zon...508&id=2120628

Looks like they dropped a few special features though, mainly the 2 behind the scenes featurettes (which featured Bey Logan and Donnie Yen on commentary) and the original chinese making of. Which is a shame bcuz the UK disc ported over everything from the DVD.

Don't forget about Best Buy's 30 day price match policy guys. I would be willing to bet most of these drop at least a couple bucks in 30 days, even considering the exclusivity. June is Jet Li/Donnie Yen month in Region A. I personally prefer Flash Point over SPL but I am very excited for SPL getting a Region A release!

So I went to Best Buy today and noticed that only Kill Zone and Legend of the Black Scorpion were the only movies that had HD audio (DTS HD 5.1). All the other releases, including Tai Chi Master, only list what looked like dolby digital. Has anyone purchased these titles and played them to verify what and how the audio is?

I can confirm that they were $20... guess it's because they're a "Best Buy exclusive" that they cost $5 more than most of the others... ugh...

But aside from that, I took some crappy quality cell phone photos to show a couple of interesting things:

#1 = The numbers on the spines:

Notice how the numbers jump from 7 to 10. My guess is that Empress and The Warriors and Invisible Target will be numbers 8 and 9... not neccessarily in that order.

#2 = The title for "The Legend of Fong Sai Yuk":

For some bizarre reason, the title reverted back to the first Americanized title of "The Legend". Now, I don't know if the title card will have been changed as well, or if it's just the packaging.

Overall, if these were $15 like the others (except The Killer, which is still $25), I'd have snatched all four today. But, at $20 each, not so much. I'll wait until my reward zone coupons take effect.
