Nice! So what happens if they are caught smoking on site?

At my workplace, there's tons of smokers and they were warned several times about smoking near the entrances. There's signs posted that there's no smoking within 25 feet of the buildings. Eventually the business owners of the building will probably ban smoking for good since know one wants to listen.

Seriously! I don't see how people can afford to smoke in states like NY where it's $8+ a pack

I quit back in 2000-2001 when my wife was pregnant with my oldest son.

Default I don't get it.

I kinda thought that this was going to be a "Man I can't smoke there anymore, guess I'll quit" thread. Nice to see you already have. My grandfather got cancer from smoking. I really don't see the appeal. Dexter season 3 has a great little anti-smoking storyline. I would not want to die like that.

I really wish they would do this at my workplace. Everyone takes way too many smoke-breaks as it is. I look for someone and "Oh, she went to smoke real quick." Ten minutes later and she will reappear. I despise working with smokers.

That's a problem with oversight in general... not smokers specifically. In environments where employees have internet access; many employees will spend more than two hours a day, a quarter of the time they are getting paid for, surfing on the internet.... maybe even posting on blu-ray.com when they should be doing the work they are getting paid for.

Cigs are CHEAP here. What my fiancee smokes cost her $8 a pack in AZ. They're half that here...sometimes less when there's specials.

I hope she can find the willpower to quit sometimes soon.

She could try Chantrix. That worked for my brother. I went cold turkey.

That sucks. Cold turkey would work but you need to really want to quit. Don't set a date or anything. Just do it and stop smoking. That's how I did it.

That's the problem. It shouldn't take 10 minutes to smoke a cigarette. Smokers are abusing their little smoke breaks. Where I work, if someone goes out to have a cigarette, I go somewhere else to stand around for a few minutes. Seriously, why should I be working while someone fills their lungs up with smoke and takes 10 minutes to do it? It's ridiculous! I despise smokers! They think they get special privileges.

Same here. I will never do it because IMO, smoking ANYTHING is disgusting and unattractive. Unfortunately I've had to deal with it my entire life though because of my mom and her damn cigarettes.

My brother and I thought the same thing seeing our dad smoke growing up.

Somehow we both became smokers then both quit.
