I have just started to read up on power conditioners. I am now looking for clean consistent power for my HT. But Im not sure if Im looking at the right power conditioners. Would I have to use 1, 2 or even 3 power conditioners on my amplified subs, speakers and AV equipment? Would or could i overload the power conditioner if i connected too much wattage into 1-2 of them??? I have 2 Super cube References sub woofers and 4 Mythos STS's that have a total of 4,800 watts of amplified subs. Sometimes on deep bass notes the lights would dim in my last place. Some days the audio seemed to sound better, louder and bass hit harder and was deeper than other days at the same volume levels. Not to mention I had another 5-7 audio and video component's hooked up on that part of the house all into either power strips or directly into the wall outlet. I only rent and move often so modifying the places or electricity where I stay is out of the question. I had never thought of power conditioners or even knew what they where or did until recently. But I don't think they are all the same or do the same thing. I will be home in a few months and will be adding 2 more Super cube References and a emotiva XPA 5 amplifier to my existing setup witch will bring me up to around 8,000 - 9,000 watts of amplified subs and speakers in my HT, not to mention the other AV equipment I will have connected. I am thinking of adding 2-3 Apc Power conditioners to my setup the 1.5k ones. Would those be the right ones? I had the same issue with my suburban pictured in my HT gallery which has a few thousand watts of amps, the lights would dim on heavy bass notes and not hit as hard as it always does. But adding an extra battery fixed the issue. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
