Default DBlackGT's Arizona Retreat

After the purchase of my Panasonic blu-ray player this weekend, I think my home theater is finally done now for a while. Its taken me almost 2 years since I bought my PS3 to make it complete. Although the only original thing I have from my very begining HT is my PS3 haha. So I thought i'd show you some of the steps it took me to get there.

In the beginning there was this...

Then came the new tv

Then all this came....

Then the work started...

Got it together but still just wasn't ready yet...

Thought I found a new receiver, but ended up sticking with the Onkyo

Now after countless purchases, returns (Best Buy and frys probably hate me now from practically trying out everything haha), trail and errors, this is my final product (final as in at this second, not forever haha)

This was a long and tough transistion period but now it was totally worth it. Hope you guys enjoy

edit: Got some new signs in and now I think its pretty close to done for now haha.

Now I'd still like to move the tv down about 2 inches and paint the walls a blue color...but we are getting there. I will keep this thread updated as I go along.

yes and I'm upstairs too so it sucks even more. but I generally keep it down after 10 on weekdays and about 12 on weekends. but during the day I crank em and (knock on wood) have yet to have a complaint. it definitely sucks but somehow it works out. I guess my downstairs neighbors like hearing the movies I watch as much as I do haha.

hey how do you like your new apc power conditioner by the way?

I absolutely love them!! Like love them. I hear every little detail now and they are just crystal clear. I paid $749 for each tower and $499 for the center. I bought them off vanns.com so they had no shipping cost and no sales tax

The first thing that Im saving for now is a new stand for all my equipment. The stand that I have now is too small and like the poster below asked hows the heat build up in...well its not good but not bad. I have to constantly leave the doors open. So a new stand will be next and then the matching Klipsch Icon surrounds.

if its the part I'm thinking your talking about, like at the end where he shoots down into the ground and jumps over the lady. then yes, that's like my demonstration scene haha. I've actually had two neighbors ask me if I felt the earthquake and I'm like no that was just this part in the movie I was watching hahaha.
