Foreign Language/Art House Recommendations Please?

I'm new to the forum so I apologise if this is out of place. Feel free to move it as you see fit if you can.

Could you recommend some Foreign Language/Art House Blu-rays for me. Preferably French. I've yet to see a lot of the "greats" I don't know where to start.

My French and Italian is quite good but I'd still need English subtitles, Region Free or B preferred (For my PS3) but I have a region free player.
