Dance in the Vampire Bund: Complete Series Blu-ray

Hello. In this site http://http://blog.affenheimtheater....e+vampire+bund it say that in this purticular anime funimation edited some scenes. Am I to asume that the BD is edited? Crap... I will wait an uncut/unedited release then, since japanese releases don't have english subs

. Anyone knows for sure?

The BD/DVD's are not cut and come fully uncut. Funimation only edited the internet broadcasts.

Oh really!? Excellent news then

. Oh I see there are 2 BD releases of this, one limited (that is what it say) and one not limited, but both sims identical and also the non limited is more expencive so, can't understand why they got 2 editions.

The difference is just the box - the Limited Edition is a sturdy box, the standard is a thinner one. Funimation is doing this now with some of their combo releases (starting with a sturdy box as a LE, then moving towards a standard (paper cardstock) box).

Actually, the anime has been edited. Apparently the series contained controversial elements which, when taken out of context, could be objectionable to some audiences which are inappropriate for U.S. viewing and are not essential to the storyline.

Yes it was edited for the internet and other viewings. For the DVD/BD release it is fully uncut and wasn't edited in anyway or censored.

It's not cut, Jesus Christ. Don't speak as an authority on something becuase you read one news article, but didn't check out the follow up articles that said Funimation changed their minds in regards to the home video release.

And what is "not essential" to you is still censorship. Thankfully, it's not censored.

sweet deal. i was wondering about this, since i have it in hand and will be viewing it for the first time

gotta love FUNimation. they sent me a pack of vampire sunscreen with the release. it looks a bit too moe for my taste, and i don't go outside anyways, but it's fun to have.

for those interested: Region A/B, 1 BD50, 1 BD25.

I do remember when I used to visit the AnimeonDVD forum a year ago when Funimation 1st got the license for Dance in the Vampire Bund, they did say they will edit it a little bit. However, that idea died quickly with the kind of responses people were saying on there since it was getting pretty out of hand.

So we'll most likely going to get the uncut version.

It's been confirmed as uncut.

As a side note, there are a lot of idiots at the animeondvd forum. lol
