Hi all,
![]() Muppets Most Wanted comes out on Blu-Ray and DVD in the UK August 4th, which for me is fine. I'm happy to wait and buy it on the day of release. But I also want to get it for my friend's birthday (August 1st). Are there any websites that send UK releases early? |

I think ASDA or Sainsbury's (when they did physical media) were good bets. I'm not sure about Tesco. Amazon will usually have it on Monday if you're lucky. It depends on the distributor. I haven't used ASDA for a while but they're usually good for Saturday, I'm not sure about Friday. I know members sometimes get stuff Wednesday but I'm not sure with what retailer.

UK releases don't pop up exceptionally early / long before release date like american releases seem to. i've had american discs ship and arrive in england a couple of weeks (or up to a week, more often, if early at all) before release date on many occasions in the past, but the best you can hope for from a UK supplier is - if you live in the UK - two or three days, tops.

why impress me as a foreigner? there no value in trying to second guess the value of a secondary market over their local / domestic one - america is a pretty big place compared to a lot of others, especially those that speak english to any extent. i've always seen USA customers talking about breaking street dates and bricks and mortar stores, sometimes long before i'd get any shipping notice for one that's going to be posted to me.

They only send out that early when release dates are a holiday so next will be in a few weeks for the late May Bank Holiday Otherwise standard Amazon practice via both Prime and paid for 1st class is ship Saturday for a Monday delivery. If you go for free shipping may arrive a few days later. |

Perhaps it would be beest to import it. It's a Disney title so it will most likely be region free. Or my other suggestion is The Cinema Store, but that would require you being able to visit it in London. They usually have releases on shelf before they should do.
