Default Rumour: Heavenly Sword 2 in development?

I didn't see this posted anywhere else.

This maybe a rumor but nothing would make me happier than seeing another Heavenly Sword game. What are your thoughts on this?

That would make me a happy man, specially if the sexy Nariko returns (but probably not , as
[Show spoiler] she dies at the end of the first game
- who knows though?). -If- she was to be back, I also hope they can convince the awesome Anna Torv to lend her voice once more

There's not much to back the rumors right now, but I'd play another Heavenly Sword if there were one. Visiting friends were mesmerized with the graphics on the first one.

Hopefully we'll get something concrete at E3.

In an interview a few months back Sony stated they wanted to make this into a trilogy with a new developer taking over part 2 and 3.

I will see if I can find the interview.

That would be fantastic news. I got my "heavenly sword" fix last year from Enslaved (same developer, more serkis) which was great. I am not sure how I would feel about another developer take it over but I still have hope.

So Sony owns the IP for this game?

Meh. I love the original and wish it'd get a trophy patch, but the idea of an open world sandbox type game turns me off.

And their description of it does nothing to make me want to play it, or even care about it.

Played it and loved it, on 2010, but to be honest, I just don't care if it gets a sequel or not.

I was really excited after ending the game to see if there were HS:2 to come out soon, but nope.

Same goes for Mirror's Edge.

Well, if the sequels were horrible I'd rather them not doing it at all.

I had the original and played through a few levels. I think I stopped when I acquired the bow and was defending a castle or something. I remember liking the bow and arrow but sucking at it. I thought the graphics were pretty good at the time, the gameplay was just ok.

The game was pretty short, only six chapters.

I could've ended in 2 days or so, but decided to give it time to time.

I played the original and it was just ok but wasn't really my kind of game. I probably won't get this sequel if it really does exist.

I hope this is true and it's announced at E3. I really enjoyed the first game.

It is Sony's IP... Ninja Theory wanted to make a sequel a while ago but they couldn't cause Sony would not allow it.

No word on who is making this on yet.. but with Ninja Theory jumping from a PS3 only developer, plus their work on DMC, I doubt they are even in the picture for the 2nd one.

Heavenly Sword is one of my favorite games so a sequel would be great (although I'm not sure how I'll feel about it if Nariko isn't part of it).

I think you should be ok as long as you don't post more pictures of cats and dogs

I wouldn't mind a sequel to HS as I enjoyed what I played, never actually bothered to finish it as I moved on to something else. If they release a trophy patch I'll play it

I would much prefer them just work on adding trophy support to it. There's no need for a sequel, particularly one that won't involve Nariko, although to be fair the first game wasn't called "Nariko".

Agreed, but there's no need for trophies neither.

PS3 trophies are just to show off and nothing else.
