Default Took a trek to Brandsmart

They had a fixture surrounded by ps3's with all blu-ray on one side and then all hd on the other.

then in the main dvd isle area they had a whole rack for only blu-rays. they had alot more than ive seen at any other retail location.. cept the label at the top was "latin" lol

amused myself

I live in the Miami area, and I have noticed the same thing. Brandsmart has the cheapest prices on TVs and electronics, Best buy is not even close on any of the items!

Yeah, but alot of the electronics they sell are crap brands (Prima, Etec, Haier, etc) and I hear many are refurbished. I returned a broken blender and had to wait almost an hour because of all the people in the customer service/return area.

brandsmart also carries all the latest pioneer, samsung, sony, toshiba, panasonic btw.

they have the 70xbr's out on display the 63 samsung plasma's

their movie prices are fair i'd say at best.

most were 22 bucks. some were less some were more.

That's where I purchased my last two HDTVs. Sometimes they beat the competition when they want. They have a large amount of BD but they are kind of Xpensive.

I'm in Sunrise, right next to one. They are good for some things. When they have higer-end stuff you can save a bundle. When I bought my Deneon A/V 5800 seven years ago it stickered at about 4300 dollars. The best I could find it for was 4000......until I went to Brandsmart and got it for 3100 bucks.
I buy lower end stuff anywhere. There is less room for them to move on the price. Besides it's not worth being ignored on the loading dock for a half of an hour. Sometimes I just feel like a piece of meat in that store.

The people there may be scum bags but you cant beat their prices. I bought my 1080p 56inch Samsung from Brandsmart. And got it 400 cheaper than BB or CC. They have moderateky priced BLus although Walmart has the most competetive prices online.

Brandsmart employees work on commission.
Amazon has better prices online. I even hear some people pricematch Target.com because they are amazon.

They own the south Florida market. They have the best prices and the largest selection in Florida. For those of you not familiar with the stores, they are not regular stores, they are superstores with two floors.
And for those of you interested, they do not carry any HD DVD stand alone players. They do however, carry the latest Sony, Samsung and Panasonic Blu-ray players. The prices on those players are way lower than any retailer. And with the largest selection of Blu-ray movies of any store I have seen to date, they get respect from me. Their store in Miami has Blu-ray demos playing all over the TV and Playstation 3 areas and they have a huge Sony wall full of Sony LCDs powered by a Sony Blu-ray player.

...D'ohh!--Don't put "Trek" in a thread header unless it's for the right reasons!
We're disgruntled about Paramount enough as it is!

I bought my Aquos at Brandsmart for a really good price. I hate the place but you really can't beat their deals for the good stuff. You also can't pricematch on the items that aren't listed in their ads because they will not quote you a price over the phone. Very annoying.

Also never go on weekends. They design the store like a circus and it feels that way.
