Default Possible to get a decent ~55" LED for around $1000?

Thinking about selling my computer monitor and plasma tv and consolidating to a single LED TV.

The idea here hopefully is to sell my computer monitor for close to 1000 and my current tv for close to 1000 then pick up a decent LED for 1000, one saving some money and two a LED tv should consume ALOT less then my plasma and my computer monitor together.

Dont care about 3D, and i was happy with my 60hz tv in the past so i dont need something thats eleventy million hz, just decent quality and LED

thoughts?

edit: this is as close as ive found so far

I've seen some vizio ones on amazon for around 1299-1600 but right now I'd say thats the range that gets you into LED 55''
