Universal Blu-rays are region free! As with all their other SteelBook releases from the UK, Green Zone, The Wolfman, Kick-Ass, Psycho, Gladiator etc...

just pre-ordered Paul from amazon uk as well. The price listed is 17.93, but when i proceeded to the checkout it dropped to 14.93. Not sure why that is, but I believe it came to 28 Canadian after the conversion. Amazing price for a bad ass looking steel book.

Value-Added Tax (VAT). Non-UK citizens don't have to pay it. Amazon is great because they automatically take it out. Most UK retailers don't, and I think the process to get that money back is really cumbersome.

Just FYI, they don't have to wait to get their money back, they just don't have to send it in. VAT is just like our sales tax except that it's built into the price while our sales tax is added to the price. Retailers submit their sales reports monthly along with the amount of VAT due, and sales to addresses outside the EU are listed as non-taxable. Online retailers that don't deduct VAT for sales outside the EU are just skimming a little extra off the top. I've negotiated lower prices from business eBay sellers in Europe on the basis that they won't have to pay VAT.

The Digital Copy can be used, if you can be bothered to somehow setup a iTunes account for the area that the steelbook originally comes from. Changing your store region in iTunes is a pain in the a$$. |

It looks almost identical to the UK version As long as the ratings logos aren't printed on the Steels, they could be taking a page from the Sony playbook and using the same Steel worldwide It looks like UK ratings are on the spine though... could just be a mock-up pic of course Both Wolfman Steels from these countries looked very similar, but the German version is embossed and has inside art The ratings logos were printed on the UK version though, making the German edition the better one for sure ![]() 22,99 EU releases 8/18 61h3wM8od7L._SL500_AA300_.jpg http://www.amazon.de/Paul-Flucht-Ste...7396165&sr=1-9 £17,93 releases 6/13 51tAXL2LflL._SL500_AA300_.jpg http://www.amazon.co.uk/Paul-Limited...7396218&sr=1-1 Last edited by moviefiend1977; 06-06-2011 at 09:51 PM. |

Why is it that the German release comes 2 months after the UK? I've noticed this before with there being a huge gap between US releases and then the German release coming much later. It can be quite frustrating when trying not to double up amarays and steels.

this list of features for the UK version sure sounds like it'll contain both the theatrical and extended editions: Quote:
