If you've ordered from Amazon India, then the procedure for ordering is the same, so you don't need any other detailed procedure. My advice is, if you have relatives outside India who are willing to carry stuff for you when they visit here, it would be better to have the item shipped to them so as to avoid customs related hassles.

Shipping Charge ?
Is shown to you before you confirm the order. Additionally Amazon UK removes VAT for items shipped outside the UK, so the actual order total with shipping comes very close to sum of the prices shown on the site.

Customs Fee is needed for all order?
For most carriers other than Royal Mail, that seems to be the case currently, and the trouble is that neither you nor Amazon Customer Service has any direct control over the carrier selected by their system. Again, my advice is to get your order shipped elsewhere unless you're ready to pay a significant chunk in customs (~40% of order) and "handling charges" (500rs+18% GST if it's DHL). People who have been long time customers may be given benefit of doubt and allowed to refuse parcels for refunds (so long as they don't do it too many times), but I doubt if they will extend that courtesy to first-time buyers.

How to complete The Payment?
You need a credit card eligible for international transactions. No COD of course.

After Completing payment anything else to pay on Delivery ?
If it's sent via Royal Mail, then hopefully nothing. Otherwise see above related to customs and courier "handling charges".

If possible with Screenshots ....
It's not rocket science, and doesn't require screenshots.

Guys,
I have a question regarding purchase from amazon.com shipped to india.

The Import Fee Deposit that is collected when you place the order, do we get it back ?

I mean when i received the order I did not see any receipt about the custom duty collected either stamped on the packet or inside it. The package was open for inspection though.

Can you please share your experience with this Import Fee Deposit from Amazon.com order.

Thanks

you pay that in advance so you don't get hit with a bill when the package is delivered. So, say you pay $10 with amazon and your country charges 8.50 in customs fees. Amazon refunds you the $1.50. If you pay $10 and its $40, Amazon eats the $30 and you don't get billed for it.

Depending on when they receive the duty invoice you may have to wait up to 6 months from the shipping date, especially if you're hoping for a full refund. From Amazon's help page:
Quote:
Import Fees Deposit Refunds

If the actual Import Fees are less than the Import Fees Deposit collected by us on your behalf, you'll automatically be refunded the difference to the payment method you used for the order. You'll receive a notification e-mail confirming the amount of the refund. The refunds will be processed as and when we receive carrier invoices confirming the actual Import Fees. If carrier invoices are not received by 180 days from the ship date, you will automatically receive a refund for the full amount of Import Fees Deposit paid.

I wish Amazon would conduct international shipments more fairly. Six months ago I bought the 4K John Nolan set, "Dunkirk" "Interstellar" "Inception" from Italy when the price was very good, but they tacked on an import duty deposit even though the cost was low enough to pass though Thai customs duty free. The promise to refund any money not used (in this case all of it) never happened. I got nothing back. The deposit amount was 25%... more than the 17% that would have been charged if the order had been over $50 USD.

Subtotale articoli: EUR 13,93
Costi di spedizione: EUR 17,51
Totale IVA esclusa: EUR 31,44
Deposito dei costi di importazione: EUR 7,98
Totale: EUR 39,42
Totale rimborso: EUR 7,98

Then a few months ago Amazon's US site dropped collecting this deposit. I placed several orders, always making sure I stayed under the 1500 baht limit ($50 US) to pass through duty free. Thai customs charges for the item value but also includes the shipping charges to charge duty. Amazon had a coupon offer on the 4K versions of "Top Gun" and "The Wizard of OZ" that prompted me to order them. The total with $12.97 shipping came to $45.63 which should have been free of duty, but on the receipt they did not subtract the coupon amounts totaling $7.29 so a total of $52.96 was presented to Thai customs, just a bit too high. So I was charged a 10% customs duty and 7% VAT as a result, more than the value of the coupons. My other orders had the correct prices listed and I got them duty free.

But this brings me to this John Hughes set. Amazon.com is again charging the upfront deposit even though this would easily pass through Thai customs with no charges. My guess is that like their Italian site, they would just pocket the amount even though it wasn't used. This probably breaks laws in multiple countries, but even if not it is unethical. They add insult to injury by asking for $11.30, which at 34% is double the amount of duty and tax which would be levied if the shipment had been been above the 1500 baht limit.

Item: $19.99
Shipping & handling: $12.98

Total before tax: $32.97
Estimated tax to be collected: $0.00
Import Fees Deposit: $11.30
Total: $44.27

^Consider ordering from WowHD for US items. Their prices are higher, but they have free shipping and none of this import deposit nonsense. Usually their packages reach without issue (you may need to allow for up to 40 days from dispatch notice)
