Smile Box Office Weekend 6/24-6/26 (Cars 2)
Pixar's latest release, Cars 2, debuts this weekend. Toy Story 3 made its theatrical release last week, but a week earlier, to the tune of $110M. The "cars" series is not as popular as the Toy Story movies, and many believe that Cars is Pixar's weakest release...I would agree. I am thinking a $75M weekend for Cars 2 is probable; although, I am taking a wild guess as no tracking info has been made available (that I know). Bad Teacher will probably open around $20M for the weekend and take audiences from The Hangover Part II. Interesting to see how well Green Lantern will hold, a 50% drop is expected.
