So I guess Amazon is not selling this title. This is kinda annoying cause I have Prime..what the hell is going on??

P.S. I know there was a similiar thread and I tried to search for it, but nothing came up when i searched for Fly..so give me a break..

28 Weeks Later is about to be shipped to me.

Just ordered FLY so l'll check if that ships in the next day or two.

I'm in the UK so titles are usually shipped early.

This is the only new release (Fox) title not in stock at the distribution warehouse for the store I work at. This doesn't necessarily mean anything though, because the amount of copies of FF2 wasn't listed until after its release. However, the warehouse shows tons of copies of 28 Days/Weeks, From Hell, and Robocop.

OK Does anyone know why The Fly can still not be pre-ordered from amazon? I know they put up the pre-order page for From Hell yesterday and I was able to do it, but the one for The Fly isnt up yet. Anybody else have this problem?

Also is there any place that has The Fly cheaper then 27.95 including shipping?

I'm afraid BB will not have The Fly just like they don't have The Day After Tomorrow. Circuit City in my area does not have it either.

What is up with all this. I want to be watching The Fly tomorrow...

Best Buy is not very good about getting catalog titles on release day, at least not on Blu anyway. It took mine something like a couple of months to finally get AvP after that was released. I asked about it and was told that some catalog titles are slated to go to certain stores, but couldn't get an answer as to what the rhyme or reason for this is.

Needless to say, I never rely on them for catalog titles that I want anymore. On the bright side, I got a shipped notice from Amazon on From Hell today, even though I just ordered it on Saturday, and it originally saying 1-2 weeks on the shipping. Too bad about the Fly. I want that one also and would have ordered it along with From Hell if it had been available. That leaves me with waiting for Amazon to get it straight, or buying from Suncoast. They are very good about getting most of the catalog releases on Tuesdays, but since it's a Fox title, it will be $39.99

I'll be waiting on Amazon for sure.

It's simply a combination of several factors

1- Catalog titles are not doing that well in general on either format
2- High price of Fox titles
3- Shelf space is an issue here. At my BB, they have one rack of Blu, 1 rack of HD. The Blu shelf is all spine out and chock full of product. Hardly any facings. There's simply no room for more, and they'd rather use that space for stuff that will sell better.

A lot of things go on a store by store basis, just like at WalMart

The absence on Amazon is definately weird though

The Day After Tomorrow was on the shelf at my local Best Buy on release day. Their online stock thing doesn't show The Fly as in stock yet but we'll have to see if they have it tomorrow.

The Fly is definately out there. I just had it in my hands.

I saw The Fly on the shelf for sale at the local Future Shop (Best Buy subsidiary). They also had 28 Days/Weeks Later, Robocop, Surf's Up, Reign over Me and Edward Scissorhands. No sign of From Hell or The Twilight Zone.

I didn't buy any of them since the prices there are a little high.
