Default Mixing consumer and pro equipment

I think I'm finding the Samson s convert mini to the be the perfect tool for this mixing of equipment but it has a frequency response of 10 hz to 100khz. This is obviously good enough for my needs ( will be using it for my LR preouts to a crown amp ) but I'm just curious if there is another converter/bump box out that has an even wider frequency response

Here is the link to the s convert mini PDF

http://www.samsontech.com/site_media...%20Convert.pdf

Ps: I already know the frequency response of the art box is 20hz-20khz so that doesn't make the cut in case I end up using my towers in full range mode for two channel music or film

I own two Samson S-Convert boxes. Unfortunately, Samson stopped manufacturing S-Covert boxes. You can find more information about them in Post #1 of The Official Behringer & Other Pro Amplifiers Thread.

It is possible to find used Samson S-Convert on Ebay.

I know you do! I think everyone knows you do :P Are you sure they stopped making them? I just was on Samsons website and saw the S convert mini bump box listed :S Either way, IS there another product that offers a wider frequency range than 10hz to 100khz? Maybe like 5hz to 100khz?

Could you also answer this question: Is it true the Samson S convert box bumps the voltage sensitivity of a consumer product to match that of a pro equipment input sensitivity so as to get full power out the amplifier? In which case, I could use this box on a Denon 3313 to connect a Crown XLS 2000?

To the best of my knowledge, Samson S-Convert is no longer available. Your best bet at a reasonable price is Art Cleanbox Pro. You don't really need such a wide frequency response range. It is mostly marketing B.S.

There are other more expensive converter boxes, but they are really an overkill.

Alternatively, you can build one yourself. This is the plan for you. I will grade you on this one for the quality of your work.

Yes, the S-Convert increases the voltage from unbalanced to balanced. The factory default is all the setting you need. It is set perfectly.

This is great news! As soon as I get one I'm going to let you know how it goes! I'll include graphs and pictures too! Can't wait to get this started up. I can only imagine the power of a crown XPA 2000 in bridge mode would do to a rti12 !
