To be honest, that won't be a pricing error at all, just the way instore works depending on the stock of the particular items they're provided with by the stockist.
I'd say the single-disc edition of Night At The Museum 2 Blu-ray for £35 is one of the worst prices I've seen instore. It's been sat on its shelf for about 5 months now. |

I must say, I thought £28.00 each for the 2 latest Studio Ghibli releases this week was pretty criminal.

The Bond 6- film collection is £110 in my local!
To be fair to them though, they do have some amazing bargains in-store, such as The Thin Red Line as part of the 2 for £20, in spite of it not actually being officially released yet. The same title is £15.99 to pre-order at most places online. |

I was after Bad Lieutenant the other week and I thought it was in the 2 For £20 offer.
Couldn't see it, they had loads of DVD versions, so I asked at the counter. The guy said that the computer showed that they had one copy in stock. "How much is it?" I asked. "£25." He replied. Get to f***! |

![]() Devil is currently in the 2 for 22 euro offer over here. As bad as they can be they do have some great bargains, Once Upon a Time in America and The Thin Red Line for 11 euro a piece is not bad. While I'm not 100% sure but I think the way the pricing works is that for a lot of stock they can get in off different suppliers or suppleirs will have offers on which is why you can find the same thing in store priced differently, Takers on one shelf today for 32 euro and on another for 13. The original stock of Takers which they had for 32 euro will be left there till it eventually sells so that they don't take a loss on it. |

I'd like to have a conversation with the one at the store or regional manager that decides to bring stock in, if they know its going to have to sell at £25+ to make profit. Nobody will pay that if they could get it for half or even a third of the price online. |

HMV's business model is completely dead. They have no money, no credit and very very few friends.
They're finished sadly but it's been a long time coming. I'm sure someone will buy Internet part (separate company and I'm sure they're separating it even more) the name and maybe 2-3 stores but the rest will be removed from the high street. |
