Default MGM BD - Double-Dips in 2012

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118039525

The article itself is about the West Side Story release, but the fourth paragraph is an interesting note to be had:

Push marks the first in a series of homevid launches to promote MGM's extensive film library, which includes the James Bond franchise, "The Pink Panther" comedies and "Rocky," all of which will also get anniversary relaunches starting in 2012.

------
Thing else what else is their to add to the Bond series that is currently out?
Obviously Rocky and it's sequels? could get major remastering overhauls?

god, I hope they don't make us rebuy stuff... such as doing a boxset only of the pink panther films (making me rebuy the 1st one) or released the bonds in sets (including the ones that haven't been released mixed in with ones that HAVE been released) etc....

and you know now that you said that, they will...lol
But you're right, they did that with all the DVD sets over the years. Now I suppose what would really sell these if they get Connery to do commentaries on all of his films. Roger Moore did for his, so even though Connery is in retirement it wouldn't be that difficult if he was to agree. Now that would sell some sets.

MGM needs to stop screwing around!!
At least release 3 of the 9 that are still MIA , 3 more when Bond 23 comes out and the other 3 when the 23 BD is released

I'm most excited about the US West Side Story release. Looks awesome, its coming out a month after the UK release which is not too long of a wait.

Probably just some sort of special packaging for the original film.

Enough with the re-releases. There are too many catalog titles left to release.

Fingers crossed for that 4K scan of "The Terminator" (1984).

And a 4K scan of Rocky.

You're welcome to all the Bond movies, just give me The Producers - the original with Zero Mostel & Gene Wilder. My very favorite comedy.

So are they still doing the bond volumes? Seems pointless if they are stopping at 3 and redoing them all...why did I just buy the first 3 sets? dear Lord..
