13 Reasons Why- based on the novel

Universal has attained the rights to the novel 13 Reasons Why and plans to use it as a staring vehicle for Selena Gomez with Jennifer O’Kieffe adapting. Can't wait to see it and hope it turns out good and sounds like it could be an emotional movie if done correctly.

The story centers around a shy high school student who comes home one day to find a stack of audio cassettes on his front porch, and discovers they were left by a classmate who had recently committed suicide. She left a total of thirteen tapes, one for each person to hear about their role in her death. Gomez would play the deceased Hannah Baker, who will appear throughout the film in flashbacks
