What are you planning to buy in August? - Blu-ray Forum

So with it being the first day of August tomorrow, what's everyone planning to buy in this next month? I'm getting the Source Code steelbook, The Big Lebowski, and outside of Blu-ray, I'm importing the Australian DVD for The Smurfs Seasons 1-5 box set. That last one will take a lot out of my bank account, but it's too tempting to resist and since the DVDs didn't sell too well in the UK or US, I don't see it coming to Blu-ray anytime soon. There'll probably be more that I'll buy than that but those are definites for me.

waiting to see best buy's and targets prices though....don't know if i like paying $22.99 for these from amazon!!

I did have The Big Lebowski pre-ordered, but have since cancelled, since re-mastered to Universal, means "DNR shit-fest".
The HD DVD will do rightly.

Still have Super ordered and plan to pick up The Blues Brothers, Hanna, Submarine and possibly The Veteran at some point. Already have the US release of Faster and the US release of Limitless is en-route.

US wise, Batman: Year One.

I only have Stand By Me and Source Code (Play.com Steelbook) pre-ordered now for August.
I did have Sucker Punch and then The Big Lebowski but decided to cancel (I'll buy them soon after though).

Apart from pre-orders I've no idea what I'll buy, if any, it all depends on what offers pop up.

My birthday month.

Definitely Scream 4 and possibly Red Riding Hood, if it comes with the lenticular slip the US got.

Also, if I get lots of gift cards/money, I might pick up Hop. And also maybe the Final Destination sequels, but I'm not dying (pun intended) for those and I have their DVD counterparts.

As for September it's not looking as expensive now as They Live, Rolling Thunder and The Outsiders have been delayed. Getting Star Wars original Trilogy and Scarface for birthday and will add Kind Hearts, Manhunter, Once Upon a Time in The West, Point Break and City of God myself. Then I'll buy Jurassic park and Lion King in the autumn and probably hold off an everything else and wait for xmas.

Just noticed that the US is getting Assassins in 2 weeks. Tempting, but i've never actually ordered from the US Amazon before, would I get stung for import charges on a $14.99 order?
