Default The Worst Major studio, Paramount

I have NEXT in my player and watching the previews now. The very first preview is for Transformers and at the end, it says coming out soon on Blu-Ray and HD DVD.

I mean my GOD !!!! this movie just released today and they have all the time in the world to change this but they didn't, it makes me wonder just how bad this studio is!!!!

they cannot change a simple thing like this with all that money they got, and they keep on saying they made a better business decision espeically for the long run??

so now for me, whichever credit or ppl come out say similar thing or HD DVD is going to win, I shall just bomb them!!!!! they make me sick and god what kinda world we are living in...

I feel sorry for all these ppl.

Could be very bad for Paramount. Someone can maybe go sue Blu-ray for false advertising who can in turn sue Paramount for not taking it out or something, no?

Coming out soon may mean 18 months to paramount,,,or in this case about 16 months now? or even sooner if they start doing blu-ray sooner.

Not really that unusual for studios to hype things that will never come. After all, the first DVD release of Dumbo was hyping Dumbo 2 quite a lot -- there's a film that will, fortunately, never be released.

"soon (sn)
adv. soon·er, soon·est
1. In the near future; shortly.
2. Without hesitation; promptly: came as soon as possible.
3. Before the usual or appointed time; early.
4. With willingness; readily: I'd as soon leave right now.
5. Obsolete Immediately."

so 16 months is not soon, unless they are smoking too much!!!! in this case they should go out of business.

and the exacty ad is "coming to DVD, also available on Blu-Ray (blu symbol) & HD DVD ( HD symbol), all I know is just like Blades of Glory, this stuido has serious problems within, and for all that money they got, they couldn't fix a small problem like this, it's Sad and that's all I am saying!!!

I guarantee you that there are plenty of out clauses in that contract for Paramount. If they're still HD exclusive 18 months from now, and the format was is still going I'll be shocked

I'm starting to wonder with the moves they have been making lately. I thought about calling Brad Grey or some of his friends and asking them to hook me up.

I am in agreement here, but I'm hoping it's sooner.

Long term goals my ace. It was a short term goal of 150mil that is all!!!!

This studio cannot be trusted. They are trying to give Speilberg the shaft for christ sake.

No $$$ no hddvd exclusivity, that is the bottom line!!!

Paramount made a very DUMB move!!!!! Don't let them fool you, they lack logic.

I'm sick of hearing about Transformers!!! BD has a TON of GREAT releases during the 4Q. Lets keep our minds in our own game PLEASE!!!!

We need to leave paramount at the door people. We can do nothing for them now.

Now lets just hope Mel Gibson doesn't let them release Braveheart on HD-DVD... That'll really chap my @$$... But like Wicky said, there's so many weird things in their contract and ways aroudn their contract, if they make it all 16 months without releasing a Blu-Ray, it'll be a shock to my senses and my head may actually expload.

guys, move on about paramount. I don't see why you are complaining. 16 months and so hopefully they will get back on time. so eventually they will be back. however, transformers you can always rent on DVD and use the ps3 to upconvert it.

not at all. that movie cam out today, the store has probably had it for several days before that. Before that it was probably at the distributor for several days, before that it was probably sitting in inventory at the replicator for a while, before that it needed some time to be replicated, before that the master needed to be made and ready some time before replication starts, and even before that they had to create that video.
