![]() ![]() The Incredible Hulk Blu-ray The Incredible Hulk Blu-ray Review On October 21st it's releasing and it's one of my most anticipated new releases this year. After seeing it three times in theater I definitely will be picking this up. Universal City, Calif., August 27, 2008 — From the Marvel Universe of the world’s most popular Super Heroes comes the $234.6 million worldwide summer hit that fans have been waiting for as THE INCREDIBLE HULK blasts onto DVD and Blu-ray Hi-Def from Universal Studios Home Entertainment and Marvel Studios on October 21, 2008. Filled with unstoppable action, spectacular visual effects, and non-stop thrills, THE INCREDIBLE HULK is directed by Louis Leterrier and features an all-star cast including Academy Award® nominees Edward Norton and Tim Roth, Liv Tyler and Academy Award® winner William Hurt. I'll give ya number 1, but Norton was mediocre in this and Liv Tyler... well, she should just retire altogether. Horrible performance.

2nd time, cant wait for the blu-ray. Also this was one of the loudest sounding movies I've ever heard. It was my 3rd favorite movie of the summer behind Iron Man and The Dark Knight |

While I just like Hulk(2003) it didn't have that thrill ride feel. It also didn't have a villianthat could test the Hulk. The Incredible Hulk Had all of this and a tormented Banner. Much better movie. My only complaint...I wish it had more of the Abomination. Small complaint though.

First review I've found is up at IGN.com
Movie Score: 8 out of 10 Video and Presentation Presented in its original theatrical 2.35:1 widescreen aspect ratio, Incredible Hulk looks, in a word, incredible on Blu-ray. The pristine transfer captures every vivid color and sharp detail of the print with precision. There's a nice range in contrast, and the black levels vary from subtle shadow to inky pitch and everything in between. Leterrier's camera is always on the move, but the disc doesn't have a problem keeping up with the rapid-fire action scenes and quick cuts. When it comes to the CGI, the Hulk himself doesn't stand out as a computer graphic, although other effects like helicopter crashes, rain and fire don't fare quite as well. It's a small flaw, but the only one that was particularly evident. Score: 9 out of 10 Languages and Audio The Blu-ray release gets a DTS HD Master Audio 5.1 track (as well as Spanish and French tracks in DTS 5.1) that is impressive and engaging. You can practically feel the sound bouncing off the walls. The stereoscopic movement in the action scenes immerses you in deep, rich, thunderous noise, but it's not all bluster. Gunshots and explosions snap from every direction, but there are also subtle noises, like Hulk's low, guttural growls and the tapping of the rain, that come across with nice clarity and make the quieter scenes seem all the more tranquil. Dialogue is sometimes lost in the busy soundscape, but since it's the least important element, that's not a major issue. Score: 9 out of 10 Extras and Packaging Score: 9 out of 10 |
