Default Name Your Inventor

I figured this might make for a fun thread. Who's your favorite inventor from a movie, fictional or not. My all time favorite has to be Christopher Lloyd as 'Doc Brown'. How about you?

I definitely agree on Chris Lloyd; he made Doc one of the funniest and most compelling scientists in film history. Even after 25 years, you can still see how much work he poured into that role.

As for others, here's a few of my faves...

1) Vincent Price in "Edward Scissorhands"
2) Brenda Bradford in "Inspector Gadget"
3) Donatello in every "Ninja Turtles" movie
4) Maurice in "Beauty and the Beast"
5) Bruce Banner in "The Incredible Hulk"
6) Tony Stark in "Iron Man"
7) Dr. Erskine in "Captain America"
8) Professor Xavier in the "X-Men" films

River Phoenix as WolfGang in Explorers

Desmond LlewelynQuarterMaster AKA Q Bond

This character doesn't really fit into movie inventor but he is a classic

Richard Dean Anderson's "MacGyver" on the Television. that guy rocks.

Zephrym Cochrane invented Warp Drive, bloody brilliant starship designs came thereafter .

Some runner-ups: Q from the Bond films, Tony Starke in "Iron Man," Miles Dyson from "T2," and that kid from "The Goonies."

Forgot about him, and I love the first 2 films to this day (the third one tried, but didn't really work). One of my favorite lines is from the first one...

Mae: "Are you saying that machine..."
Russ, Sr. "Blew Up My Kids?!?!"
Wayne: "No, no, if the machine had blown up the kids, there'd be pieces of them everywhere..."
Diane: "..........Wayne.........."
