I tried asking this in another thread, but I don't think people are looking there. So, I figured I'd start a new topic.
I just bought the Onkyo TX-NR509 and I tried using the Dynamic Volume feature. Whenever you turn on Dynamic Volume, it automatically enables the Audyssey Dynamic EQ feature. When Dynamic EQ is on, the bass on my subwoofer becomes extra heavy. The room literally shakes. The purpose of me using the Dynamic Volume feature is so I can watch movies without it getting too loud and disturbing people. But I'm a little disappointed that it automatically enables Dynamic EQ, which adds A LOT more bass to the sub. I'm assuming there is a feature on this receiver that you can set to lower the bass that's sent to the sub when Dynamic EQ is turned on, but I can't seem to find it. Is there any way I can do this? I know I can manually lower the bass on my sub, but then I will have to manually turn it back up when I'm not using the Dynamic EQ feature during the daytime, which is a bit of a hassle. I'm looking to see if there is something I can set on the receiver so it will be more easier on the bass when Dynamic EQ is turned on. I'd appreciate the help. Thank you. |
