Default First Men In The Moon + 20 Million Miles To Earth (Umbrella Entertainment) Oct 2nd

Quite possibly their only Blu-ray release for October, which is unfortunate.

I bought the Geman release of First Men In The Moon. But I'll double-dip and get this as it has 20 Million Miles To Earth on there as well.

Last week I pre-ordered "Last Action Hero + Hudson Hawk" as well as "To Hell and Back" from Umbrella and was surprised the 20% off deal they have going at the moment also includes pre-orders. So it's a bummer this wasn't up to add to the order.

I also just found out Umbrella doesn't split orders, so if you buy the pre-order and throw in a few of their 10 buck specials to hit the $50 free postage, you'll have to wait until release day for shipping.
Good to support a local company. It's just a shame they have so many DVD only titles!

I have a ridiculous number of their titles (DVD and Blu) in my collection. So many of them are the only versions available in the world, so I'm not so bothered if they're DVD only. Their Blu of Chaplin (which I snapped up for a tenner a couple of weeks ago) is great.

It is? The U.S. release from Lionsgate is rather badly reviewed, due to an ancient transfer. Is that improved on the local version?

Looked fine to me, but I'm not a big AV guy so others might see and hear issues I don't. Comes with a good range of featurettes and six Chaplin shorts.

I guess it would be too much to ask of Umbrella if they slapped similar extras or at least same quality transfer as teh UK Indicator versions...

Umbrella stinks to high heaven. Tin-pot, little Australian company spewing out garbage. I wish they would just go into receivership and stop churning out their crap. Any release of theirs without subtitles for the hard of hearing is just discriminatory. If we had a decent government it would be illegal as well. **** Umbrella and all who work for them.
