Im starting to upgrade some old blus to the 4k releases for the included remastered Blus and being future proofed for when my Panny Plasma packs in.
However ive just changed my mind about getting The Lost Boys and Speed due to reading about awful HDR to SDR conversion on these titles that blow out details in highlights. Are The remastered blus of Unforgiven and The Shawshank Redemption affected too? The old blus of these two didnt even have lossless audio so the HDR to SDR conversion would have to be very bad to put me off upgrading these. I cant decide between old VCI encoded dnr blus, remastered blus with blown highlights or goind UHD now with a blurry/stuttering £1,500 TV! ![]() ![]() |
