My trip to Best Buy - Blu-ray Forum

So I was chatting with the manager of my local Best Buy store and not only did she assure me that Blu-ray was outselling hd dud at this store, but also that the Xbox 360's get returned all the time because of overheating and other issues. I asked her how many PS3's have been returned due to defect, she smiled and replied "two"...

I just thought that was worth sharing.

not surprising...I noticed at my BB that the have 4 selves to the hd dvd's 2 now.

Thats cool, Did y'all read that alot of Halo 3 disc's are getting all scratched up. If I wait so long for "the best game ever" and I open the box and my game looks like a frisbee...someone dies, simple as that. Way to go M$.

ive never liked halo and this just makes me laugh!!!...a lot!!!!!

It just baffles me that after 2 years of already being out how they are still having overheating problems and disk problems. Microsoft obviously is like a recovering addict that can't seem to get it's act together.

the first halo was fun...did alot of lan multiplayer.....I could never get into the 2nd one.......so I really don't have a desire to get the 3rd...plus it will be on PC here in a year......

...OH yah...if you look at all the top titles for the 360 you will see they always get a PC version out there too...honestly the 360 is a waste of money IMO....plus you only have it about 16 weeks out of the year because of always getting them fixed by M$

Funniest thing I ever overheard at Gamestop from an employee. He told another guy that had a PS3 that he likes Microsoft and the 360. He then said, "The 360, its a good system mine lasted for 9 months". Me and the other guy looked and each other and started to laugh. At this point we had to explain that being satisfied with something that breaks after 9 months is not good. I bought my blu-ray and left.

I had to run outside my office before bursting into laughter after reading that.

not as funny a story, but my girl and i went to BB on the 18th, and some other couple was lookin thru the HDDVDs. We couldnt help but laugh at them. They chose....poorly.

I'll comment on the 360's, as I was/am (sorta still I guess) a cashier for 2 years there during the summers. Anyways, every day I was there (this is not an exaggeration) someone would be in to replace their 360 with the 2yr replacement plan they bought. On several occasions I'd see 3 or 4 a day.

I actually work at Hastings and I was at one of the registers selling Halo 3 at midnight and that night one of the customers opened up the case and the disc was out and scratched, just like he mentioned. I looked at the hub and noticed it was a piece of crap. Microsoft is dying with that kind of a product.

piece of shit any way you look at it. the games sucks and its not even next gen except for updated graphics. no way in hell it looks better than resistance fall of man. also no way in hell it will ever look better than UT3 when it comes out

I have seen a few PS3 returns at my Target. If the people are telling the truth and actually have bad systems i dont know. On a side note, almost everyone I know that has a 360 has had problems. I myself am on the third one (2nd replacement). As far as Blu outselling HDDVD, I am about the only person I see buying Blu with little to no HDDVD unless it is someone that thought it was a regular DVD. I am too lazy to check sells or really keep track, but I promote blu and let the people I work with know blu is better.

thats the funniest thing i heard

i have a coworker that always argues that the 360 is the best... i asked him if he ever had problems with it. he siad no never had a problem with my second one... than i laughed in his face
