Lars Von Trier? - Blu-ray Forum

Lars Von Trier is, in my opinion, one of the best filmakers around today which begs the question, why are there so little of his movies on blu-ray? Aside from Antichrist and Melancholia in March none of his movies are out or even planned to come out. Criterion did Europa in 2008 yet not on blu-ray. Anyone else find this odd or is it just me?

It's a travesty that Festen hasn't been released on Blu Ray yet.

Agreed, Zentropa itself just seems left out of blu ray for the most part

I hope "Europa", "The Element Crime", "Epidemic", "Riget" (Kingdom) and "Medea" will be released on Blu-ray

How likely is a BD release of The Kingdom? I wonder if it's a good idea to wait some more or shell out for the DVD.
