Exclamation "Warner exclusive" rumor leads to more Blu-ray orders?

Probably the fastest growing thread since my original call for "blu-blood" members. "Warner Going Blu-ray Exclusive (Rumor)" It is now 2:20pm EST and I have read EVERY REPLY in the first 40 pages of the 102 page thread. Again, proud to say I did not participate in that one. But it sure brought members out of the woodwork.

In response to this false hope (Still hope to eat my words) I am ordering more blu-ray movies. At least 3. Star Gate and Fantastic 4 one and two.

Who will buy more blu-ray between now and Sunday, 9/30? It has to be this month to fight back the fud and show we are not gullible idiots, but show our strength with our buying power. To blazes with the FUDie DUDies!

Are we going to hang our heads in embarrassed shame, or shall wel rise up to the occasion and buy blu-ray. For God. For Honor. For Country. And for BLU-RAY! <Stakes big ass American flag with blu-ray logo into the heart of that thread.> Who shall join me in this nobel quest? I am off to order and shall return to our faithful followers.

"And when I return, I shall be a cabin man." Chris Elliot / "Cabin Boy"

I just went out and bought Troy Directors Cut.
I have a baby on the way so my support for blu-ray has been lacking in terms of buying. I am doing my best though.

Oh I don't need a rumor to fuel my motivation to buy blu-ray. I do that almost every week all on my own. (as much as my check book allows)

I think the post last night is very telling of the tactics HD DVD supporters will stoop to in order to spread FUD.

Let them have their fun. The numbers speak for themselves and can't be ignored.

All, ironically, except Beatbox, who the poster was trying to hero-worship in the first place.

It was the perfect time for WB to announce Blu-ray exclusivity with Universal's current exclusive deal ending in 3 weeks.??? It may have contributed significantly in ending this format war. The consumer is the one's who lost by a non-WB announcement. WB is actually damaging the situation by sitting on the fence and gawking at both sides. They know BD is the way to go and they just need to make the announcement. The further this format war divides us the worse its going to be. We all need to end this "war" and all move in 1 direction.

This was the perfect time for an announcement???? WB is just sitting and smiling, very sad!!! This could have helped most of the holiday shoppers who are unaware of what really going on with hidef movies. WB could of ended a lot of the confusion. A Non-WB announcement is a losing proposition for all.

Anyway: I will purchase a few more BD by the end of the month.

Cheers

I have no idea how I can afford to do this, but I will buy the following titles on October 2, 2007:

Evil Dead 2
Halloween
Day of the Dead
Dawn of the Dead

And the following week:

Twilight Zone: The Movie
The Fly
28 Weeks Later

The best month for Blu-Ray, as far as I'm concerned!

So the guy who posted that rumor was either misinformed or an HD DEAD fanboy? I checked the internet at 3 pm when I got home and nothing seemed to have happened.

Assume for the moment he was right, but got the date wrong. One never knows what happens between now and Oct 1st. News travles fast. Only takes one person at Warner to see that thread and pass it along. Then Warner will say.... "NO ONE GETS THE JUMP ON US!" Then postpone the announcment until October.

He could have been a genious BS artist. Or, a decoy sent to send shock waves through the HDM community and see how both sides reacts. THEN Warner will gage how to better implement a plan with mimimal bad PR impact.

Big business is dirty business. You never know why he did it without holding a gun to his head.

I'm getting ready to order a Warner BD in response and am trying to decide between Blood Diamond and Firewall. I have read mixed reviews on PQ of Blood Diamond on this site. I could not find anything on Firewall.

Any reccomendations anyone???

Cool

Damn I missed all this Warner rumor bullsh!t cuz I was too busy watching my new blus. Watched Remember the Titans, We Are Marshall, and Underworld. Whoever conjured up the rumor thread must be an hd-dvd enthusiast --with nothing to do and no movies to watch

Troy might be not too interesting to the baby. If you want to support Warner and the baby, try Happy Feet.

enjoy

right there with you. my wife is due october 25th. I also have the dilemma of....does the baby really need this many toys, clothes, diapers, food etc? so I just buy whatever cartoons come out on bd and claim they're for the baby and I to watch together.
