Sort of an odd issue -
I have a BOSE Companion 5 audio system which works great, but it pulls the audio from USB (and while the PS3 will see it just fine, it refuses to output audio via USB). The Bose also has a 3.5mm (headphone sized) input -- unfortunately the PS3 outputs either via an RCA cable (red/white) or optical/toslink. Right now I'm using an RCA cable and then plugging it into a "Y" RCA-Female to 3.5mm-male converter. I imagine the quality suffers from this.. Was wondering if there was an alternative to get the PS3 audio into this 3.5mm male jack? I see OPTICAL to 3.5mm adapter, but do those work for what I want? |
