A lot of people think it will be Syndicate. I've never even heard of this game. Personally I would like to see Doom or Halflife, but I doubt I'll be that lucky.

I saw that too; I've heard of "Syndicate" when I was a kid, but I never played it. If they reboot it, I'd gladly check it out.

I'm kinda surprised "Doom," "Halflife," and the other big titles haven't been rebooted by now already.

Doom 3 was a reboot.

I never did get a chance to play it. It still feels like quite a while ago, and it wouldn't surprise me if another "Doom" game is the works somewhere.

Yeah, it was in 2004 and they did release a stand alone expansion pack for it (PC only though). Id did say a while back that they are working on a Doom sequel (the last I heard was that they were working on the store for it ). Now that they are finishing/finished with RAGE, I would figure that Doom 4 is next.

If your talking about Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil. That was released on the xbox also, not just PC.

I just thought about this. What if it was the original HL (running on the source engine like the pc remake is)?

It's one of my favorites from the original Xbox, and I still have a copy that I play sometimes. Obviously it looks rather dated now, but it's still alot of fun to play.

Doom 4 has supposedly been in the works for quite a while now, but last I read it was put on the back burner while they work on Rage. IIRC they're also saying it won't be a sequel to previous games or a reboot, so I'm not sure what direction it'll be going in.

Id did a great job porting it to the xbox (unlike Valve who did a shitty job porting HL2). Another side story? that's the only direction left (or gasp, a prequel

I've never played the original HalfLife because it never got a console release. HL2 is one of my all-time favorites, but it did have some glitches, particularly with the frame rate in later parts of the game. It would be awesome to get the entire HL series brought up to modern console graphic levels before HL3's release.

i think i read something about it and it seems like theyre changing a bunch of things about the classic. what i took from it is that it would be too different from the classic i love.
